Christmas gifts:
Now it is from this that the current tradition of giving gifts on Christmas came into popular practice. Gift-giving during Christmas is primal to the age-old tradition of Christmas 'n this took larger proportions slowly through the years as consumerism increased. Well, if you come to think of it, today's Christmas is really impaired without those big boxes in colorful wrappers neatly tied up with glistening ribbons 'n piled up at the foot of the majestic Christmas evergreen, those red stockings chock-a-block with Santa's givings, those warm cards scattered over the mantel 'n many many more sweet surprises. Evidently gifts have become integral to our most fave Christmas holidays! Every Christian bears the spirit of giving 'n sharing on Christmas. So what are you planning to gift your dear ones this Christmas?
Christmas cards:
Much in the same street as giving presents on Christmas, Christmas greetings also occupy a major part of our Christmas celebrations. It's a different feeling altogether to send 'n receive cards on Christmas. Warm 'n snug, as they are, Christmas cards help one express a world of thoughts to his/ her loved ones. Research says that Christmas greetings are, so far, the best when it comes to sharing the spirit of the joyous season. No kidding this! Consider this little info, for instance-as many as two billion Christmas cards are exchanged by Americans every year. Well…that says it all, doesn't it?
Do you know when the first Christmas cards were made? It was created way back in 1843 by Sir Henry Cole 'n were designed by John Calcott Horsley. Here's something which is even more interesting-these two Britons are also responsible for coining the phrases "Merry Christmas" 'n "Happy New Year".
So now that Cole 'n Horsley made things easier for you, get into the wishing fling-make your friends 'n family feel special, greet your boss 'n colleagues, warm up your sweetheart, share the spirit of Christmas with your teachers, neighbors, 'n Reverend, send inspiring wishes to your godchild, surprise the little ones with some Christmas goodies 'n wish everyone you know a very "Merry Christmas"! Now, that's not all. You needn't feel left out if you're the groovier kind…Christmas is a time when you can share some fun with your buddies 'n cousins or you can get into Santa's gear 'n drop some frosty cool Christmas wishes on your way to winter wonderland! It's also quite popular to invite your folks over to your place on Christmas 'n treat them to roasted turkeys 'n pies 'n fruitcakes 'n baked breads 'n cookies 'n so on. But in case, you're missing someone close, don't forget to let him/ her know how much it costs to stay away in this special time of the
year.
As you perhaps already know, Christmas is the busiest season of the year. 'N shopping, of course, reaches its all-time high in the weeks between Thanksgiving 'n Christmas. Be it gifts or greetings-choose what you may, but it's always wise to plan things early to avoid the mad Christmas rush. 'N why not? Christmas comes only once a year!
