Fourth of July Fireworks
America turns 229 this
Fourth of July ! And like every year,
America explodes in a boisterous and joyous
merrymaking, magnificent fireworks being its
commonest form of expression. Fourth of
July fireworks shows are held all over
America to spark off the glory of
Independence in style. Thousands throng the
4th of July fireworks display area, while
others treat their eyes over the fireworks
shows on television.
Fireworks are one of the oldest and most
gripping ways of marking the country’s
birthday. Usually the Fourth of July
fireworks take on the patriotic shades,
exploding in Red, White and Blue detonation.
But other vibrant colors like orange, green
and yellow are also used. Decorating your
house or community hall for the Fourth of
July celebration is a fun way of getting
into the mood of the occasion. Decoration is
always a collective affair—emotions evoked
by the day bring together friends and
families in a feeling of close bonding. The
expression is one of merriment and of fond
togetherness that 4th of July essentially
brings with it. So get your folks together
and brace up to give your home or the hall a
Fourth of July face with flags, streamers,
banners, table-spreads all in the 4th of
July theme.
Kicking off between 9-9:30 pm on the 4th of
July night, the fireworks attract a lot of
spectators at the popular viewing points.
Roads are closed for the night and traffic
is redirected accordingly. Many Americans
light up their backyard with gorgeous
Fourth of July fireworks in a domestic
celebration; but since fire has its
potential dangers, it’s better to be
entertained by the professional Fireworks
shows than to undertake it yourself in your
loved ones’ company.
Most of the big cities in the United States
have at least one, if not many, fireworks
shows on the 4th of July night. On a
cloudless night, these colorful explosions
of pride, joy and celebratory fervor are
truly worthy of sight. Fireworks can be seen
from any point between 23rd street to 42nd
street within Manhattan, and within the
downtown area around South Street Seaport.
They can also be viewed in all their
grandeur from high-rise buildings and
apartments. After the various activities on
the 4th of July including picnics, parades,
musical shows and parties, the Fourth of
July fireworks give that exuberant final
touch to the day and are the great grand
finale to this huge patriotic occasion—the
4th of July, America’s Independence Day !
